Welcome to Mount Eliza North Primary School, a vibrant learning community with a strong culture of continuous improvement.

Our vision statement is at the heart of everything we do: Mount Eliza North Primary School strives to create a community of learners who are empowered to inquire, achieve, and contribute to the world around them.

Mount Eliza North Primary School is proud to be a Victorian Department of Education school and an accredited International Baccalaureate School authorised to deliver the Primary Years Program (PYP). Through the PYP, we promote active citizenship and provide a transdisciplinary, concept driven, inquiry-based framework for teaching and learning.

At Mount Eliza North Primary School, our students are supported to become agentic learners, who are empowered to make informed choices about what they are learning, how they can learn it and how they will know what they have learned. We develop the whole child and empower our students to be independent and creative thinkers who have a passion for learning. Our students are supported to meet the challenges of our rapidly changing world, and to become responsible global citizens.

The students at Mount Eliza North Primary School enjoy rich and engaging teaching and learning programs across all areas of the curriculum. Our specialist programs include the Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Languages (French and Japanese), Library and Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM). We also provide our students with opportunities to participate in a broad range of extra-curricular activities, enrichment, and specialist programs to enhance their learning experiences. Extra-curricular activities include the Victorian High-Performance Program (VHAP), Horizons lunch time clubs, Running Club, instrumental music lessons, school choir, school band and ensemble band.

At Mount Eliza North Primary School, we have a strong family-school partnership which is based on mutual respect, trust and shared values. All perspectives are valued, and we welcome the participation of families in our learning environment and many school events.
